cdmAmsIIIaj implements the Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) small-scale methodology AMS-III.AJ Recovery and recycling of materials from solid wastes. The package follows tidyverse design principles and exposes equation-level helpers, applicability diagnostics, simulation utilities, and workflow orchestration tools to reproduce emission reduction estimates for recycling programmes.

Projects must satisfy AMS-III.AJ requirements before emission reductions can be claimed. Use the package helpers to document each criterion:

  • check_applicability_material_quality_iiiaj() – verifies recycled material types, contamination levels, and compliance with standards.
  • check_applicability_collection_network_iiiaj() – confirms collection coverage, segregation practice, and logistics adequacy.
  • check_applicability_monitoring_plan_iiiaj() – ensures monitoring plans track throughput, residual disposal, and calibration activities.

cdmAmsIIIaj translates representative equations from AMS-III.AJ into composable R functions:

  • aggregate_monitoring_periods_iiiaj() summarises measured data across reporting periods while preserving entity identifiers.
  • simulate_ams_iiiaj_dataset() generates example datasets with monitoring metadata to support tests, demos, and onboarding.
